Class demo - HD'ing the Mech from FFVI. I showed students how to find forms using side profile sketches, which are easier to draw, then "skewing" that side view in PS and extruding it into 3D, thus preserving the proportions. It's a fast process; useful in early phases of design.
Recent class demo sketches - 3D visualizing Kefka's tower from #FINALFANTASY VI. Unlike the first project (Perdido Street Station), which relies heavily on real-world references, this project only utilizes "cool shapes," demonstrating different approaches to finding design.
In-class demos. Electric gun designs (related to previous project).
Nice set of designs from recent FZD grad, Nathan Bierset. Love Victorian Era inspired themes.
Beautiful world development designs by recent FZD grad, Cedric Mousseaux. Lovely combination of reference + creativity.
