Our term 2 is off to a strong start. Here are some designs from their first assignment, the "teenager's bedroom." Been looking at this project for 10+ years and I still love exploring all the story details.
A couple more of student paint-overs, demonstrating the easier to learn silhouette lighting method.
For digital paintings, we teach students to start with a simple lighting method - silhouetting. It's easy to set up, allowing students to produce work and build confidence. Here are some recent in-class student paint-overs I've done (15-20mins each due to how fast this method is)
Wonderful designs by recent FZD grad, Anson Wong. Anson has a bright future in the animation industry.
