I love to give my characters random quirks, even if they are only for myself.

Floral's lack of trousers is one example. I don't advertise it on her character sheets, but being cursed to never wear pants to a really fun quirk in my mind.

I really like how the memes can be used to portray characters that are not as commonly used, or to see characters in new light, or just to have fun with in-character thingies.

Memes like this are fun and enjoyable for me to do.

Day 27 of #FloralDailies

I like to call different versions of Floral by different numbers.

Version 1.0 and 1.1 were her first iterations.

Version 2.0 was her first overhaul and was more realistic.

Version 3.0 is the WIP.

All versions, even older, are equally valid Florals~

Floral's current body redesign also takes a lot of the elements from her first version as well as her doodle form (which was based on her first version).

Flat paws, cartoonish bending with arms and less focus on realism. Cartoonish design is the focus.

Key changes to the redesign of Floral's head that I did:

- larger, more expressive eyes
- more hair fluff
- hair flows outward
- less unused space
- eyelid flow from snout and cheek
- ear connects directly to snout, no back cheek
- flatter snout/cheeks

Floral's design has shifted a lot since her first introduction. I gave her a more realistic design when I remade her, but her latest version which is in the works is returning to a simpler and still cute design~

Day 16 of #FloralDailies

I love to make characters based on jokes or witty comments and they have a lot of variety. Some are parodies of ongoing events (like the reverse mermaid for Mermay 2021) or comments that were stuck in my mind like a creature that pops orbs in and out.

@DreamyPumpkins They are actually concepts for alien designs for a puzzle game I want to work on!

Day 8 of #FloralDailies

For times where I have long roadtrips or just extra free time on my phone and not much else, I love to draw sketches on my phone. These character tend to be less focused on details and moreso on shape and feel, though other times I try my best to do both~

I take a lot of inspiration from many different sources for my characters, like random comments/talk or ideas.

The Fox God was inspired by a discussion on Bae (from @YokokasQuest) and the tray she was holding, which seemed like an orb that would pop in.
