@NoLongerBennett @Parvenu62 After some manual photoshop work, here is the final image. I am very happy with it and looks like what I had envisioned in my head when I started the journey.

@NoLongerBennett @Parvenu62 Now this is MUCH better. This is at that 95% completion where I can take it into photoshop. His shoulder muscles aren't right, and his hand is backwards-gripping the weapon. But I can manually repaint this.

The Akritai used to be border fighters in Anatolia, but evolved into a militia force across the Empire with funding and equipment supplied by the Emperor. They are called upon in troubled spots & to provide security for sporting events - still a source of unrest in the Empire.

The Old City never sleeps. Millions of people, living somewhere between the old world, and the new.

Religious dispute is one of the city's oldest hobbies. For every heresy denounced and put down by the Patriarch, another springs to life.

Ancient churches lead into deep catacombs - ruins underneath the city only partially explored - favored hiding places for heretics.

@sound_hologram MJ does excellent with faces and portraits. It's the best for that in the business
