Simple designs are perfectly fine in a fighting game, as long as they give the player an idea of what they can do.
Look at Ryu for example, he's REALLY simple. But, he's easy to get a read on due to his design (He's wearing a martial arts gi, he's going to do martial arts stuff).
For all the changes that Strive made, there's one thing that I (and imagine that a lot of others) am glad is gone.
Tech buttons. Holy SHIT FUCK TECH BUTTONS
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of Metroidvanias these days take heavy inspiration from Dark Souls? (Dying/dead world, some sort of magical plague, no game overs, etc.)
Hallow Knight, Ender Lilies, Blasphemous, and there's probably more that I'm forgetting.
I wonder why?
@LordCommandGrab Sadly my original color from XRD is gone, but I'll rock out with the Strive red color all the same
Playing some UNI after a long while, and I still got it.
This game is fun, but I don't know if I really want to dedicate serious time to it anymore.
Pot's in a really good spot right now in Strive, but I have one request:
Buff 6K please, it's slow as hell at 22f startup and the hitbox is NOT good. Look at how low to the ground it is!
It basically only exists for kara-cancels now.
You ever think about how silly Eddie's name is in Guilty Gear?
It's a shadow monster, one of the Forbidden Beasts created to fight the Gears.
...and its name is just Eddie.
