We think of vampire squids as deep red, but they can also be black! In fact, the name Vampyroteuthis infernalis — literally means "vampire squid from the infernal depths" — was aptly given to this jet-black squishy thingy with demonic red eyes.

Dear everyone that I tricked into following me for tentacled friends like, two months ago, happy (early) new year. I swear I'll get things done, eventually.

This is Vampyronassa, a vampire squid relative from the Mid-Jurassic. Though I heard some people doubt the classification.

Pterosaur ownership

Pros:
+ Cute
+ Can (could?) fly
+ Mostly hug-sized
+ Better than dinosaurs (fight me)

Cons:
- Bitey
- Dead
- Long names
- Even longer limbs that sprawl all over the place

Hidden benefit:
+ Great for layout practices

Several of my December projects got slightly delayed and now I'm aimlessly free(ish), so I'm taking commissions before Christmas! Could use some back up rent money too now that my payments will be late 😅
