These fae are said to swim into the shallows and let out wails of distress as if drowning to lure intruders close. They then laugh at their distracted gurgling victim. ⤵

The most notible feature of a Shellycoat is, of course, thier coat of fur adorned with shells that jangle & clatter when they move. Shellycoats are thought to be relatively harmless despite playing cruel pranks on humans who wander into their territory. ⤵

I have met quite a few fantastic #Vtuber púca. If your interest has been piqued check out the cat-fox @PrincessOtC who is a playful púca currently enjoying Miitopia mischief & the artsy @Crann_TV a hooved & horned púca who started sharing their alchemy (sim) skills on stream~

The most famous púca in folklore is of course, Puck aka Robin Goodfellow. A trickster fae with origins that span across centuries of spoken tales dating back to the 1500s. And it would be a diservice not to acknowledge Robin's púca mount, Harvey, an invisible 7 ft tall rabbit.⤵

One commonality of púca folklore is their penchant for mischief. Taking the form of a horse or mount, They're said to entice humans to take a ride on their back, giving the rider a wild & terrifying ride before dropping the unlucky person back at the place they were taken from.⤵

This fae is often depicted more animalistic in appearance & sometimes even as a cross between 2 animals creating a fantastical & unique look. To mingle among humans they can also take a humanoid form if it would benefit them. Regardless of appearance Púca are extremely crafty.⤵
