@VTuberOfTheDay My names Prince & I'm a green skinned fae living in the enchanted swamps of the Feywilds~
I may or may not be a frog sharing artwork, fairytales, folklore & chill goblincore vibes but regardless I will be your Frog Prince.
Maybe together we can share a fairytale ending~ 💋🐸👑
In many tales she is regarded less as a monarch & more as an ethereal diety over the fae. Beloved & revered, her subjects will often lash out at any who insult or disrespect her. Above all other royalty who may hold position in fae society the Faerie Queen is held most high.
During the Pendle Witch Trials of 1612 the accused confessed to conversing with "The Queen of Elfhame", stating it was the power of the fae from which their otherwordly power came. Its never clear in fairytales or recounted folklore just how powerful the Faerie Queen is. ⤵
In traditional folklore predating Shakespeare's work the Fae Queen is never called by name. However following A Midsummer Nights Dream, she has since been called Madron; The Mother, Titania, Morrigan, Danu, among many other names. Titania seeming to be favored in modern media. ⤵
Happy Thursday~ 💚🍄

While many tales exist of the Nixie being a wight to avoid, others tell a different story. Theyre lonely creatures wanting nothing more than to share their ethereal song. Some tales even tell of Nøkken who fall in love with humans & agree to live with them & share their music. ⤵
Meanwhile the Scandinavian Nøkken live very different lives. They appear as beautiful young men often found at the water's edge playing an enchanting song on a violin. They are said to prey one women & children, drowning them if they get too close or interrupt their song. ⤵
