So first we of course have the Adventure art style itself. Sonic is drawn very rubber hose like. It has thick lineart that helps make the art pop. It also has that iconic adventure shading made of a harsh highlight with a dark airbrush shadow under it to make it stand out.

I think it's time I educate everyone on the differences in Yuji Uekawa's artwork throughout the years. Because everyone seems to lump it all together as "Adventure Style" when that simply isn't the case. THREAD:

@VGArtAndTidbits @ChaosArgate But it isn't from Adventure. That art was made for Advance. Adventure's art was a lot more loose and lanky and curvy and lacked those shadows. Advance's art style is a refined version of the SA1/SA2 style.
