Wow! Loving Year 8's continued character development for their Tim Burton inspired project. Students were asked to firstly sketch ideas in pencil before experimenting with matchsticks and black ink to create these fun designs!

Natalia in Year 7 has demonstrated incredible responsibility in taking her work home to complete this beautiful transcription of a reptile eye using oil pastels! Hard work pays off 🎨

We love the expressive mark makings shown in these year 9 body part studies. Great to see them loosening up their style in response to Basquiat for their identity project.

Large charcoal studies of natural forms today with yr 10 and yr 12. Students were told to smudge/‘spoil’ their drawings, then work back into them, creating varied markings, textures and greater sense of depth. Moving on to acrylic next lesson…
