Painting progress 2: One of my biggest creative wet blankets is worrying about straight lines, or symmetrical details. I believe if the composition is pleasing to the eye, most readers are happy to excuse these details in favor of lighting, atmosphere & mood.

My next project, a 4-issue series called "Bad Dreams," will begin production very soon! 😊

I shall call this series of portraits "The Blue Wave."

Have you heard of the Hudson River School? This movement from the 1800's produced some of the most sublime landscape paintings in history.

Impressionism is one of the most important visual movements in history. It taught us that every square inch of a painting doesn't have to be "polished" for a piece to be effective. Feelings of nostalgia and longing can be captured simply by choosing certain colors.

Just realized this one comic strip I drew has as many Likes as Tweet written by the President of the United States in the middle of Election Season, during a pandemic 🙄
