Finishing last few illos for my MG novel, Zadie Ma and the Dog Who Chased the Moon & reading thru proofs. The dedication page reads, “For Rusty, and all the other dogs who were lost and never found their way home.” The photo is me & Rusty with my grandpa when I was 10. @LoveOzmg

Cleaning my studio and found this picture book rough from 30 years ago well before I was published. This reminds me how long I have been working at it and I was one of those late starters.
