I’m working to a self imposed deadline on my new middlegrade novel which means I don’t have time to pick up a paintbrush. But there’s procreate and my iPad which I play around with at night while watching TV. I’m enjoying Doc on SBS which is good for my Italian.
Melbourne lockdown illustration. I don’t know who this creature is or what’s going on but I like its spiky limbs. Happy Sunday especially to those of you who are in Melbourne.
Sunset bird painted en route from Armidale to Melbourne. Due to Melbourne’s 4th lockdown there were only around 20 people on the plane from Sydney. Coming back to such a quiet airport and seemingly vacant city was rather eerie.
These 3 fine art prints Bees Nest, Song of the Whale and Tilly are off to their new home. Happy Mother’s Day for tomorrow!
Picture book making. I experimented with this one by wetting the paper first and randomly making shapes, letting the paint bleed. Then I added the boy and his water buffalo, the trunks and finer details.
When a baby cloud lands on your foot - walk ever so gently, do not make loud noises, sing a soft lion lullaby and feed her dewdrops when she awakens. #picturebook
During our recent 5 day lockdown I made the commitment to add a chapter a day to my WIP. I was very pleased that I achieved this and more as I also plotted out the rest of the novel right up to the finish. Setting short term goals for your WIP is a great way to move it forward.
