With all the eye color customization options in Splat 3, I was hoping we would get the classic octoling eye color (i.e.- green with pink/violet pupils), but alas 😢
Found these relics of the start of *what would have been* the original Vid-Squids comic way back in 2016-17. I was really trying to set the stage for how he looked different amidst the homogeneity of Splat 1, and even hint at the tension with octarians/his identity as half.

Looking at some of the new Splat 3 images, and saw that the jellyfish ice cream on the ice cream box item is p close to the one I drew on Linus' shirt in this Team Retro pic from 2018?? Now the ice cream shop he works at is canon 🤙
