Characters from the Capcom title JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are a good reflection of individual artist style. Some use semi-transparent smears, others are sharp and abstract, while some are more traditional.

There's a lot of variety between how the characters are drawn.

Found some unfinished Remy sprites in his data.

The portrait in the top corner is Remy's dummy graphic. Every character in Street Fighter III has some kind of small image used on empty frames in their data.

Found in the depths of Street Fighter III: New Generations graphic data, what appears to be an early Elena sprite?

(Left) is a significantly more detailed sprite found between a hurt animation and her healing effects. (Right) is the closest thing I could find in-game to compare.

I never bothered to look at JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (JoJo's Venture)'s debug menu but man, just like Heritage to the Future there's a TON of stuff in here.

(During Chip Shortage): Try to find space anywhere you can. Squeeze graphics together even if they don't belong!!

(After Chip Shortage): Only the marking on his back changes, put 10 consecutive frames in. Leave space in between. My wasteful powers cannot be contained.

I appreciate the Capcom artist who drew the balls on this tiger from Knights of the Round.

I wonder if this made it into the SNES version since it's just this one frame?

Not really talked about, but SNK nuked the colours going from The King of Fighters XII (Left) to The King of Fighters XIII (Right).

It's wild how Panel de Pon / Tetris Attack is just pure, 100% good pixel art from top to bottom.

Character portraits, VS miniatures, select screen icons, it's all masterclass and you won't find even a single example of art that doesn't look 10/10 good.

[07] Alternatively, the game has a large variety of graphics so perhaps they were hitting the limit on cartridge space. Plenty of enemies are broken into halves to repurpose legs, even from bosses like Overt-Kill.

[03] Bosses are plentiful and varied, standing out with their large size and gorgeous palette selection. Again, a masterclass among 16-bit pixel art.
