#Mecha design for @weregazelle and their very cool fantasy mecha ttrpg, Armour Astir. The Protean can use its alchemical quicksilver to form both offensive and defensive constructs. Had a lot of fun with this one, channeled a lot of Escaflowne and Five Star Stories into it.

Been busy lately so here's a wip with a little insight into how I approach design. I like to color code major "features" to get a feel for how they're distributed. This way I can create a hierarchy of focal points to make sure the most important parts read first.

Shoutouts to the classic Mortar Head designs. Their closeup art is some of the most beautifully chilling mecha images out there. Just such a powerful design aesthetic.

Finally got around to 3/5 of my Palaiologos series. This guy is supposed to be a rank and file henchman but I think I accidentally make him look too cool for that. Had fun bringing back some of the byzantine/ottoman inspiration though.
