Surprisingly, YES! Despite the expansive nature of Universal Century saga, this is a (mostly) standalone entry that will make a great introduction for newcomers who are interested in the series.

Questionable management aside, Gainax was truly a different beast back then. TWoH came out a year before Char's Counterattack and four years before F91, yet it still outclasses both in terms of details even though it predates them (And both CCA & F91 are gorgeous-looking films!).

Rewatched The Wings of Honneamise today and it still looks as gorgeous as ever, damn. It's aging like a fine wine.

Falcom don't make trailer-only music tracks anymore but on God, some of them truly slaps

@izumi1ori Yeah it's a bit messy since they used the Complete arts for Feena and Reah but with a much older one for Lilia, but it's not as bad as Kiseki's case
