@MoonZilla4 "Godzilla" (1998). Although I enjoy the majority of its peers, this really hits home in showing Godzilla as a thinking creature, visibly adapting to the human environment. Although I didn't realise it at the time, it evokes "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" - my first Kaiju movie.
