Waid initially had Doom use Val as a pawn but the way Hickman and others expand their relationship is so good

I'm not a big continuity guy at all, so this isn't really a complaint per se, but its really funny when everyone seemingly forgot Crystal has a kid, especially when she had it in a major FF run

This is something absolutely nobody but me cares about but it's funny how from issue to issue different artists will draw Crystal's hair as this weird dye job or a hairband/headdress (the latter of which is what it originally was)
