In Saint Seiya #28, Mitsumasa Kido gives professor Asamori the data needed to develop cloths for Steel Saints. If you look closely, you can see BANDAI written on the top of the first page. It's a quite amusing joke considering the whole story behind Steel Saints.
There are a few quite familiar faces among the spectators in D4 Princess #9:
- Amelia Seyruun and Lina Inverse (Slayers)
- Rain Mikamura (G Gundam)
- Yurika Misumaru (Nadesico)
(Possibly more, but they are the easiest to notice)
The episode also has a lot of really good drawings, especially close-ups. Would expect no less from the animation director - Hiromi Katou - who is also the shows character designer.
The direction is very strong too. I especially liked how often the characters were placed next to some humongous object or shown from the distance in the big, spacious environments. It really made the world feel much bigger.
