Sequence OVA was a really pleasant surprise. While the general plot and some of the characters could use a little more fleshing out, it still proved to be an enthralling blend of time travel and reincarnation romance story, with pretty visuals and solid direction.
Beautiful, detailed drawings with thick, messy outlines (that get even messier when Shiranui hits the ball) and dynamic poses with exaggerated proportions (especially that one at the end) are all incredibly good. The dust cloud made by Kenichi at the start is very nice as well.
Kouzou Morishita's direction in Saint Seiya #033 is fantastic. Thorough the episode, he uses various methods to limit the viewers' field of view, effectively emphasizing how hopeless and lost Shiryu feels after losing his eyesight during the fight with Perseus Algol.
It’s also noticeable how the director really likes to show the main characters in the distance, sometimes hidden quite far away from the camera, in a back alley or between the trees.
Generator Gawl keeps on delivering. Toshimasa Suzuki's excellent direction made episode 6 a real visual treat, with copious amounts of strong and bold angles and wide shots with an amazing sense of depth.
