My mom doesn't post pics of herself online, but this painting (which she's been using as her avatar for over a decade) is pretty accurate.

Oils on masonite panel, 2009-2012
Finally, a rarity for me, a print of the Black Pride Lion is for sale in the #Anthrocon2022 art show. I sold the original back in 2020 with proceeds going to benefit relevant orgs like the NAACP, but I made a special embellished giclée for the art show.
The original of Whisky Moon (listed as Whisky Fluff because I forgot) will warm you up like the perfect dram. Many thanks to @ccfinlay for providing the reference material.
Find him at #Anthrocon2022 in the Art Show this weekend!

One of the effects of creating art (for me) is enforcing whatever I am experiencing at the time I make it. So painting these from real lived experiences helps me to remember what they were.
Watercolor, 2010
In September 2010 my aunt and I visited friends in Tuscany, Italy. I did a watercolor painting for each day. (So around 14 total.) I took many hundreds of photos, as well, but I feel like these paintings are even more evocative.
