Writing away at Polloman and wanted to share its been revamped and HOLY SHIT it's gonna be good thanks to @JGabrielAdkins and @GoodBoyPaints. Nahua gods, mythos, religion, and soo much that I've had to do intensely research.
Making sure my Mesoamerican enthusiast are proud✊🏽
A Mictecah, person of the Nahua/"Aztec" underworld Mictlan is not a zombie or a skeleton. They are Half-Alive💀
Had to retreat from social media for a while, was feeling overwhelmed... but here's a character design based on Nahua codex artwork and sculptures.
We are Nahua NOT Aztec🌵
Aztecs came from Aztlan, Americans came from Britain. We changed our names is all.
The Mexicah were 1 of MANY indigenous groups in Mexico who are Nahuas, people who speak Nahuatl our TRUE language, not Spanish...
So use Nahua instead of Aztec👌🏽
Spirits of women who died during childbirth and on certain days came down to earth to steal children and cause havoc!
Really want to start creating quick illustrations of Mexica culture (characters, objects, ect) for educating and keeping me drawing everyday.Thoughts? Should i?
Friends I need opinions!
Mictecah (people of the "Aztec" underworld) are described as the living dead with ears, tounges, and eyeballs ect.
Kinda like a mummy. So WHAT IF they are mummy brown ( I think adds better POC representation) instead of bone white? Hard decision 1/2
Im finally signing my first book deal contract today.
My life and Polloman's is about to change. I will soon be able to upgrade and get a fancy toothbrush, a full-size mattress and dehumidifier.
