Latest on #Excalibur #61: “My issue w/ the proposal is Brian’s words are all about him. He's like ‘I’m a broken person & I can't give you the attention you deserve but I don’t want to be alone so marry me anyway.’ And Meggan’s like ‘yeah, sure!’.” -Andrew

Latest on #Excalibur #60: “When I started writing about Black women in comics, some people would say, ‘Besides Storm, who else is there?’ Which almost made me not want to write about her. But the more I read, the more interesting she became.” -Deborah

Latest on #Excalibur #60 talks Tarzan: “If you’ve never read Tarzan—it is centrally about race, colonialism, and eugenics. It's the story of a white baby who gets dropped in the jungle and because he’s white, he naturally becomes king.” -@chrismaverick

Latest on #Excalibur #58: “I don’t love this kiss. Kurt just hit Cerise, drawing blood, and she thanks him with a kiss. It also feels a bit icky in a professional context. Do all Kurt’s subordinates have to kiss him after the mission?” -@peppard_anna

Latest on #Excalibur #58: “I like the callback to the ‘mascot’ thing because it’s a meaningful backstory for Kurt. He has a history of having to work hard to be accepted by his own people. Which says a lot about his approach to heroism.” -@peppard_anna

It's my headcanon that Kurt and Remy have a friendly rivalry 😉 https://t.co/LPHKvPcuCz
Yes! I also really liked what Darick Robertson did in the 2004 Nightcrawler solo, where he'd go back-and-forth from silhouettes emphasizing Kurt's demonic-ness to very humanized images in casual clothes. It was a thoughtful, economic way to capture the character's visual duality. https://t.co/AvUeOamL6W
@bthomasa @HunterFelt @peppard_anna I always think of her with the name in the earrings and just assume not everyone draws it in... but I could definitely be wrong!
