Arthur H. Fellig (Weegee) - Summer, the Lower East Side (1937). The photograph featured on the album sleeve of I'm Your Fan: The Songs of Leonard Cohen (1991).
The Jesus & Mary Chain - Stoned & Dethroned (1994). The album cover features several stills from the video for Sometimes Always.
Mädchen in Uniform (1931). A sensitive girl is sent to a boarding school where she falls in love with a teacher. The film was eventually banned by the Nazi regime, who later tried to burn all of the existing prints.
One of my favourite record labels from the '80s was The Pink Label. (1984-1987). Not only did they release brilliant records, but they also came housed in wonderful sleeve art.
