I loved playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. Looked beautiful, and as an experience, playing it with the kids and being able to teach them about the Peloponnesian War, Greek mythology and the history of people like Perikles, Hippocrates, Alkibiades, Leonidas, Kleon etc. was great.

Playing through Assassin's Creed Origins, and struck again by how much I love 's music for this game. Brilliantly nails the right feel and mood. Loved her other work on CoD: Infinite War, and though I'm only just hearing it today, I'm loving her work on Anthem too.

Two-thirds funded, and a rather lovely penny-dreadful (paperback...) version of the book added to the campaign too! Are you a backer, or do I need to send the Gaunt and Sinister Man around to have a word in your shell-like...?

Finished 's The Queen of Crows, his sequel to The Armoured Saint. A rousingly great novel that starts small but grows mightily in the telling, effortlessly blending high fantasy and gritty grimdark. It's epic, but never loses sight of its characters nor why they fight.
