I’ll be doing a book signing and Q&A at Games Workshop, Victoria, on Vancouver Island on the evening of Friday 29th of July (this coming Friday) from 6-8pm. Come and hang out this Friday to talk stories, books, and hobby. Hope to see you there!
Watched The Sadness from @RobJabbaz the other night, and that was a hell of a thing... Not for the faint of heart, and behind the extremely graphic horror, there's an unflattering reflection on the world's pandemic response as well as a brutal and damning indictment of humanity.
Saw Ti West's X last night, and it was bloody awesome. A real, down and dirty, gritty slasher that takes its time with its characters, setting, and mood before unleashing the mayhem. Great performances all round, and stick around in the credits too.
Man, trying to write with the Horizon Forbidden West soundtracks on while the house is empty is *sure* making it hard to resist firing up the PS5 and going after that Thunderjaw again...
Watched Scott Cooper's film, Antlers, based on Nick Antosca's short story, The Quiet Boy, at the weekend. Great sense of place and slow-building dread. All the actors were great and the creature effects didn't disappoint. Enjoyed this one and great to see another original horror.
I’ve played it through before, but goddamit, if I didn’t get all moist in the eyes at the end of Titanfall 2 all over again…
