Characters from the original game got massive glow ups from Umakoshi as well.

In the anime he joins up with a troupe that wasn't in the original arcade game. Very appealing designs by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi who's worked on shows like Doremi, Casshern Sins, Precure, Kasumin, etc in the past.

Mushiking involves a fairy boy named Popo on a planet filled with giant insects he is friends with finds out there's disturbance of Giant Beetles attacking forest due Adder(not related to Golden Axe) controlling them. He joins up with Mushiking in fighting his way to Adder.

Genuinely curios how a remake or re-release of sakura wars 2 would handle the Baragumi now

Cerulean Sand has alot similarities with Future Boy Conan and Nadia, which should mostly be attributed to all of these being inspired by Jule Vernes. Alot of similar staff that worked in Conan are involved too(Kazuhide Tomonaga and Atsuko Tanaka).

Gonna talk about an old Obscure TMS anime here. Secret of Cerulean Sand(パタパタ飛行船の冒険). This was a 10 million dollar project Involving SEGA/TMS and WOWOW(Broadcasting channel). The projects main goal was to further increase SEGA's Presence in South Korea and southern Asia.
