If Sega commissioned Soejima to draw a pic of Arle playing Puyo Puyo with Ryo Hazuki, Joker, Ulala, and Gillius to start a "SEGA family" that's unironically a more powerful weapon people will appreciate more than a Triple A Live Service JSR.

Capcom characters are beloved for a reason. Capcom really built a whole team of fantastic artist who draw their characters in the most appealing way possible. They genuinely used these artist to create a "family" of sorts which largely caused personal connection with audiences.

@Tacosaurs2 He did this artwork, whether or not it was a early design concept, im not sure but he isn't credited anywhere in the staff despite having involvement with most of Gainax early stuff.

I'm also 100% still certain Jean, Grandis, Sanson, Hanson, and Ayrton (maybe Marie)were not designed by Sadamoto or Suzuki. They looks absolutely nothing like what they would design imo. I'm convinced it was SUEZEN who designed them cause they look more in line with his art style

Its very subtle but I enjoy the way aging is presented. Its not just a straight up time skip, you actually see Anne slowly get taller, her freckles clear up, her gestures become more well mannered and ladylike, her manner of speech becomes less fixated on her imaginations, etc

Very reminiscent of the scene in Nadia where Marie runs through the island.

Funny looking baby

Most people follow who me from what I understand are probably more in to the more wacky exaggerated Imaishi like animation, but you have to understand how incredible it is that they managed to animate character acting so well despite the lack of motion and exaggeration.

Speaking of Anne of the Green Gables, ive been loving every second of it. Outside the gorgeous backgrounds, Takahata made a huge push for more realistic character acting to fit in the world of Anne. Pay close attention to Matthew's face expressions and body language.
