Fantastic Four (2018) #43
Victor Von Doom faces the Cormorant alone. Writer: Dan Slott, Artists Rachael Stott, Andrea DI Vito, Colorist: Jesus Aburtov: Kirby-esque Space Opera done in the tradition of the King. 4.5/5
Wolverine (2020) #21
Wolverine wants his briefcase back and has to fight his way through Deadpool and plethora of other oppressors to get it. Writer Ben Percy, Artist Adam Kubert, Colorist Frank Martin: Too much Deadpool, but Kubert’s frenetic action art compensates some. 3.5/5
Thor (2020) #25
Odin breaks through into Banner's psyche to slow Hulk’s violence. Writer Donny Cates, Artist Martin Coccolo, Colorist Matthew Wilson: The Cate’s Banner of War weirdness continues and I’m enjoying it if I don’t think too much. Sadly, two forgettable backups. 4/5

Shang-Chi (2021) #12
Shang-Chi must fight Chieftain Xin for control of the Ten Rings. Writer Gene Luen Yang, Artist Marcus To, Colorist Erick Arciniega: Action-packed and satisfying enough, but the conclusion felt somewhat rushed, given the impact to Shang-Chi. 4.5/5
X-Men (2021) #11
Rogue, Wolverine, Marvel Girl and Polaris take a gamble on taking down Gameworld. Writer Gerry Duggan, Artist Pepe Larraz, Colorist Marte Gracia: A cornucopia of delightful Mutant shenanigans. 4.5/5
X-Men (Sept1969) #60
Scott and Jean turn Alex over to Dr. Kyle Lykos, little knowing that they’ve put him “In the Shadow of…Sauron!” Writer Roy Thomas, Penciler Neal Adams, Inker Tom Palmer: Fine art, but meanders, expending too many pages on Sauron’s ludicrous origin. 4/5
Thor (Sept1969) #168
The Warriors Three remain to defend Earth from the Thermal Man, while Thor succeeds in his quest in “Galactus Found!” Script Stan Lee, Plot-Penciler Jack Kirby, Inker George Klein: A brisk dual-story setup, with some remarkably different inks by Klein. 4/5
