Avery is on the run, trying not to endanger those he loves. Writer LaToya Morgan, Artist Moisés Hidalgo, Colorist A.H.G.: The writing and art is top-notch, but I find the rapid, back-and-forth shifting of timelines distracting from the narrative flow. 3.5/5

Captain Marvel (July1968) #3
Mar-Vell must stop the Super-Skrull from using his own destructive device in “From the Ashes of Defeat!” Script Roy Thomas, Penciler Gene Colan, Inker Vince Colletta: Lots of action and plot progression, but Mar-Vell’s motivations aren’t clear. 3.5/5
