My favourite ukiyo-e, incorporating their eerie folklore into a rich scene (c. 1840). Completed by Utagawa Kuniyoshi as a master of the style, it was supposed to be an illustration of a haunted, derelict mansion exhibiting a variety of supernatural manifestations as tales.
We have our review of "Porcelain" by @m_llovet, planned to be released by @AblazePub on the 4th of August and much anticipated; a dark fantasy with a gorgeous aesthetic!

David Benzal, who's a concept artist at Sony Playstation, has a clear interest in samurai history, but his illustrations of Japanese icons twisted into demonic entities - much more interesting!

Our editor, Aubry, reviews @m_llovet's Eros/Psyche, published by @AblazePub - a dark fantasy set in the 'The Rose' as an all-girls school! A queer coming-of-age love story combined with cryptic danger underneath all the scenarios, it's a riveting comic!

We have our review of Yasuzô Masumura's Blind Beast (1969) from @ArrowFilmsVideo - a surreal Japanese film blending both horror tropes and pinku motifs!

As a unique international film, it's absolutely a worthy watch!
We have a review of Doctor Sleep as @StephenKing's sequel to The Shining. The novel follows Danny Torrance into adulthood with a rather disconnected storyline to the original tonally, boldly full of new ideas to not be merely rehashed.

The incredible artwork of Sauce Metal from Japan, mirroring folkloric legends such as 'Night Parade of Yokai' and also devising independent urban legends of the artist's own vision; these are eerie as they are interesting, intricately illustrated for every detail to intrigue.
Ikumi Nakamura is an amazing concept artist, having contributed designs to The Evil Within, Bayonetta and even the upcoming Ghostwire: Tokyo. Developers too often forget to have some intricacy to their scary monsters or else they're predictable, common threats...
As a campy creature feature from Taiwan, which follow fisherman in peril as they encounter an amusingly animated beast, we present our review of Abyssal Spider (2020)!

The beautiful fan art of Jun Ishimaru, completely worthy of the original sources; these are detailed as they are accurate as stunning efforts to recapture the aura of originals!
