Numerous designer agreed Xi Gundam from the novel should have blue chest, and they have been consistently depict this Gundam with this colorscheme.

1. What Xi's designer said about the canon colorscheme?

Moriki Yasuhiro's artbook, " Moriki Yasuhiro Design Works", he gave Xi Gundam the blue chest colorscheme. This colorscheme was also consistently present in Gundam Hatthaway's cover arts.

@tenkuken2 @SupaSandGoku Novel design predates the anime movie by over 2 decades. SRW also used the novel design. Novel Xi was designed by Yasuhiro Moriki ( Zeorymer designer). Movie version was designed by Katoki.
