It’s been a while since I posted any paintings by Scottish artist Alexander Millar. ‘ King of the Castle ‘ great atmospheric painting
Four more little vignettes from Nicola Bayley. Three from The Patchwork Cat and one from The Tyger Voyage. We had all her books and at least 3 out of my four children liked them!
Liberty Wallpaper which is fab and quirky I’m still thinking where I would put it!
Good Morning Everyone.
Our first four today are courtesy of Eric Ravilious (1903-42) He was a Wood Engraver ,Painter, Designer and Book Illustrator.
A favourite of mine and a very important artist. Sadly died when as a war artist the aircraft he was in was lost off Iceland
Thomas Furlong lived and worked in New York City and shared a gallery with his wife Wilhelmina Weber Furlong . He was a realist and an accomplished Muralist ‘ Portrait of Wilhelmina’
Sarah Eddy painted this one of Zennor Cornwall. She says she is in love with the area and in facts moved back to Cornwall which had been her home until as a teenager she went to Brighton to work as a theatre performer.
Good Morning Everyone.
Starting our day with four paintings by the wonderful Chris Dunn . His Wind in the Willows paintings and others are loved by children and adults alike
Before I stop for lunch here is a totally different painting from anything I’ve posted before. Corné Akkers . Dutch artist from the genre ‘Roundism’ interesting in style and colours. I wonder if you will like it.
Same artist again Samuel Mützner ‘Reading in the Garden’ I think there is more than reading going on as the lady seems to be knitting. Tender scene.
