Good Morning Everyone.
It’s another drizzly day here dampening the mood a little so here is a bright painting to liven things up a bit! ‘Sunflower on Red’ Janis Porter painter.
These tweeters are from the range of greetings cards by Bug Art cards. Starting in York in the 1970’S and now in Nottingham with embroidered cards by Amy Butcher and Jane Crowther with her own designs (She’s the Owner )
This made me smile. Do we really care? It’s funny and probably true...back later.
‘Maurice Millière (1871-1956) French ‘People at the Beach 1903’ Oil on Canvas. The Gentleman with the monocle looks a right Roué. 😳
Four more by Arthur Hughes. At least two will be familiar if you love the Pre Raffs . Purple was a colour he used a lot!
Such a simple theme, but the painter brought it to life by choosing the right colours . This is a different gallery Ty-Aven also French. Artist Karina Dez ‘Tea and Roses’
Benjamin @Houseofhawks74 is having a sale this month and I’m letting you all know as he’s a little slow at telling Twitter ! The bird in blue is also in Teal and beautiful. Details of how to buy on here or @Houseofhawks74 Instagram . Helen ( mother Hawk)
Now four John William Waterhouse (1849-1917). English Paintings.
No ‘Lady of Shalott ‘ sadly but other sites post her regularly .
Now two trained Polish Architects who have gone to the ‘Other Side’ firstly Tytus Brzozowski who’s Watercolours I love. This is busy and not as madcap as some. Always fab buildings and trams too
Clarence Underwood (1871-1929) This is lovely. Rarely seen Illustration of old folk. They won’t be watching TV either.
