Lunch time now. Here is a gentle and relaxing painting by a favourite of mine Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1895) He didn’t live long but he painted and was a Patron of the arts too Back Later ,😊
Alan Parry had a solo exhibition at the Catto Gallery last year and this is a painting from it.
I think he’s a fab artist but there is always a hint of sinister hidden inside
I’m carrying on posting art even though I feel so sad . Please ignore spelling mistakes or wrong punctuation.
I was surprised to see this painting was by Helen Allingham (1848-1926) ‘In the Hopfields Kent. Not seen this before .
Anna Kirstine Ancher ‘Sewing a New Gown for a Costume Ball. Oil n Canvas
This also by Gleb Goloubetski. Oil is his choice of medium. Russian artist whose father recognised his talent and encouraged him. Widely travelled he now has a studio in St Petersburg.
A Watercolour beauty, the work of Stephanie Law . She has created Shadowscapes and Dreamscapes. Wonderfully delicate and very pretty .
I’ll be back after our siesta. 😊😴
Carl Larsson (1853-1919). ‘After the Dance’ I first came across his paintings in the 1970’s when his book Our House and the Our Farm came out. It was love at first sight.
Thought I’d better post another by Kate Osborne , she doesn’t just paint hens although I’ve picked one here. She paints in Watercolour and has her own site. Name in google will find her
Interesting this one . The model of the artist Alexa Wilding in La Ghirlandata 1873 and Veronica Veronese 1872 by D.G. Rossetti.
