Gustave Dore (1832-83 French ) Two Owls. He was a fab Illustrator. From the age of five he was a prodigy artist creating drawings that were well beyond his years , then he had a go at carving in stone. At the age of fifteen he was producing caricatures for a French Newspaper.
John Lines paints pictures of Landscapes and Allotments that I seem to have been part of at sometime in my life. Old fashioned paintings in a good way.

Two more by Alison Jay . Love the skating one. She has a light touch., she works with Alkyd a quick drying oil paint. Sometimes she adds a crackle glaze to give age to her pictures. I’d never heard of Alkyd. Seems like a good medium
