Lucy Grossmith doesn’t leave any spaces at all in her paintings , they are stuffed with flowers hens and even a bee hive and bees buzzing around. Her paintings are like old friends, I’ve been posting them forever.
Petra Brown again and what a breezy day for Mr Red Squirrel. His ears are being blown about a bit….and his little shoes. I’d forgotten about this illustrator. Thank goodness i remembered. Lunch time now. I’ll be back,! Helen😊
I’ve put them into two lots of two so they are easier to see. Edward Ardizzone . ‘He was an artist and Illustrator of Consummate Draughtsmanship’ said the critics and they were right. Undervalued today I think
I like to tweet Stained Glass but it annoys me that sometimes it’s not credited and it would take me a long time to begin to research. These are all beautiful in their own way. The second across the top is by Louis Comfort Tiffany at a church in New Jersey.
Another clock related piece of Surrealism, another new ( to me) artist Valeri Kaplia. He’s a Contemporary Ukrainian painter. He says his paintings pay attention to the illustrated plot reflecting various subjects that explore the complexity of personal relationships. Siesta🥱
Lunch time now so here are two cartoons. The first by Speedbump Dave Coverly and the second by Whyatt. Back soon 💚 Helen
Lunch time for me now but I’ll be back after. Thanks for looking this morning , it’s been a bit different. Helen 🧡
Mig Wyeth ‘Snowdrops and Scillas. This is a card from a range at Green Pebble. She cycles along the Thames Path, walks and gardens. Always looking out for things to paint or to give her ideas and inspiration
These four pictures are all made by Gillian Bates who is an artist from Eastbourne. They are all machine embroidery and the artist uses this medium to capture memories of the seaside. Excellent work from an artist I’ve never used before . ETSY have more (I think)
Good Morning Everyone
Figurative and Landscapes Canadian artist Brent Lynch spent the first years of his creative life illustrating everything from books to record covers and event posters. Now he’s at the top of his artistic game so to speak and paints fabulous pictures.
