The Ashcan artist I’ve posted most of in the past has been by John French Sloan (1871-1951) another of the founders of the Ashcan School. I Think number 4, the scene in the ‘bar’ sums up what the Ashcan Artist represented, everyday scenes of the working folk at the time

There are a few Watercolour artists who I post regularly and the more I find the more I post! Thierry Duval has been on my radar for a while and both Dr S and I love his work so we bought the books of his paintings .
