The Ashcan artist I’ve posted most of in the past has been by John French Sloan (1871-1951) another of the founders of the Ashcan School. I Think number 4, the scene in the ‘bar’ sums up what the Ashcan Artist represented, everyday scenes of the working folk at the time
I haven’t posted a lot by artist Penny Gaj but today I found her website so there were plenty to choose from. After an upbringing on the Isle of Wight she worked in London for a while before settling in Cheltenham. She uses Watercolours. https://t.co/Ff6R0lYLJb
There are a few Watercolour artists who I post regularly and the more I find the more I post! Thierry Duval has been on my radar for a while and both Dr S and I love his work so we bought the books of his paintings .
All wrapped up and out into the winter frost and cold. Snowshoes and sticks for dad. Brrrr Phoebe Wahl art
Victorian Christmas cards. They are lovely and cute but some I’ve seen are positively weird. . The innocence of it all.
Hello again.
I always smile when I find Illustrations by Franco Matticchio., this was no exception. He’s such a talented artist to say so much in a simple drawing.
Colourful bird painted by an artist I go to if I need colour and a different sort of art. David Galchutt who has been an Illustrator for thirty years and also creates Murals ( American South California)
Hello again.
I think it’s high time Mr Fox put on his winter jumper after all it’s snowing and he does look handsome in it. Lia Selina Illustration.
Same artist Cathy McClelland. ‘ Star Medicine Pouch.’ Beautiful paintings. Birds and particularly Ravens.
