I seriously did like 4 different meshes trying to use different techniques to bake my normals, but each time it just looked like a fucked up almanac. I only have 1 picture from this time, early on, before shame had taken hold...
As I was learnin' about quads n' tris n' edge flow n' shit, I kept taking the model further. At this time I started UV unwrapping and texture painting. The biggest thing I learned through all this is to mark UV seams as you go, because finding where they would be wasn't fun.
So I've been practicing and trying. I also redesigned this character to make him easier to model. (Or at least that's what I thought at the time, but it turned out to not be the case!)
