Honestly, I think Gengar might be one of the best possible choices for Smash right now. Not only is the popularity clearly there (it’s Pokémon #10 of the Year, after all), it’s also extremely relevant (playable in Pokken, owned by Ash, major character in Rescue Team DX)

While Ridley was a great addition to the roster, I’d be happy to see another Metroid character be included. Sylux is a good choice, but I’d personally love to see the Zeta Metroid from Samus Returns. Just imagine an acid-based fighter with animations based on the Xenomorph!
