I think biggest problem here is that people are assuming the flashback is Kira's. This really doesn't make sense with what we're seeing.
The person we see that most people call "Kira" looks closer to the post-fusion Josuke. Kira has never worn his hat in that style.

The most common one is Damo, despite him being possibly as far away from the Flashback Man in appearance that you can get.
If it were somehow him, it would be a completely unprecedented change that's 10 times more drastic than any of the one's we've seen before.

Another I've heard is Kira, despite him appearing in the next chapter.
I guess they're talking about the long hair but somehow think it completely changed in style and color.
This also doesn't even make sense with the framing of the flashback.

All of the candidates that people have named for who he is an early design of don't even make any sense.
I've seen people say he was an "early" Ojiro despite him literally appearing in the same chapter.

The most prominent design change that I feel like people would point to is Valentine, but this still doesn't work.
He got taller and slimmer, but most elements of his design fundamentally did not change. They are still clearly the same character.

Second is the idea that he was an "early design".
Araki designs change a lot, but never to the degree that people suggest that this one was.
The majority of "design changes" are more accurately the artstyle itself changing.
Early Kakyoin is still recognizable as late Kakyoin.

Flashback guy has probably the worst discourse when it comes to JJL topics since most of what is said is completely baseless shit.
Most discussion is about how he won't come back, or trying to write him off as an "early design" of another character.
Neither of these make sense.

I just remembered this old comment. Funnier now of course since she just came back. But this one is great since he does the Jojo fan thing of completely making up a plot point that never happened.

Exactly. It's been made clear all this time, and they just ignore it.
