I've seen so many people say things lately like:
"The Demons Souls Remake is how they WOULD'VE had it look if they had the tech".
That's blatantly false. We have tons of concept art that shows us how the characters look, and the Remake makes no attempt whatsoever to emulate that.

It's not even something like "oh this is what the developers wouldve done back then".
No, it's literally just something different that they made up. It completely goes against the intentions of the design.

Also, it's quite a stretch to think a character with an established future motive whose last (chonological) appearance was them saying "I'll be back" is somehow dropped.

Mitsuba and Ojiro's reappearances are so minor that their gaps could've honestly been counted as bigger.
Excluding Ojiro's minor flashback apperance, his gap would be 80 chapters.
If we take out this tiny moment of Mitsuba where she doesn't even talk, then her gap is 70 chapters.
