Through the reliefs, the bookshelves and staircase I tried to show that this place was ergonomically built for both human-sized people and their large golem guards. I’d like to use this party more, I like the gnome who is enjoying the treasure opportunity
I’ve tried to capture this scene multiple times over the course of a year. Learning more about narrative, visual hierarchy, colour and light etc. has helped it come a long way. I hate firelight now and how it doesn’t show blues/greens, but I’ve kind of learned to paint it!
