Aaaaah I miss painting portraits!
All the sci-fi, fantasy and romance illustrations I'm currently working on are great, but in 2023 I'll make room in my schedule for both private portrait commissions and portrait fan-arts (I still haven't had time to paint Camina Drummer 💔)
@_akreon_ Thanks for the artshare -- I love your work!
Here are some of my paintings:
My painting "Recalling the Past" was awarded a Daily Deviation on @DeviantArt, which was a lovely surprise 💜
It made me feel super nostalgic for the early days of my online presence as a (then) amateur artist. Spending evenings chatting in deviantArt groups was great :)
I don't think I've posted this image on Twitter before...? "Nivalinga", a cover illustration for @ChourakiMlusin1's book of the same title.
I painted it two years ago, and I still really like its atmosphere 💚
(also, yes, that's where my current profile picture comes from ^^)
@Planetpinto I love to paint natural environments! And sometimes things in these environments aren't on fire!
My website is https://t.co/GUCGx9dtuD, if you're interested -- I also paint characters and any subject that allows me to use fun colours and brushstrokes.
Some random TTRPG characters I don't think I've shared before on social media: left is a friend's Star Wars toon (pink space elephants are the best kind of elephants), right is an oil painting of my D&D barbarian. Her name is Axe and her axe is also named Axe. It's confusing.
Hello, #PortfolioDay! I'm Harkalé (she/her), a French illustrator who clearly likes painterly brushstrokes and glowing things more than is reasonable.
Deep down, I also believe we need more lava-divas and space-birds in this world.
To balance the mood and hint at moments of joy in the story, the author suggested I add a warm light contrasting with the dark clouds, which was a great idea. And of course, brushstrokes were a welcome addition!
Here's our hero, momentarily defeated...
@JuliaMetzgerArt I don't think I've ever taken part in an artshare before, but I'll begin in good company, there are so many cool artworks here!
I'm Harkalé, painter/illustrator in love with pretty colours, brushstrokes and surreal scenes! Also, lava. Lava is nice.
