@Zahzu @karpour @MaxUlichney Yeah the brushes are really convincing! It depends on how you use it too, I tried hard to layer it like actual watercolors. My older drawing where I only had a very basic brush looks somewhat convincing bc of the layering, but you could never achieve edges or gradients like this.
The card collabs are a fun tradition :) Here’s my initial rough sketch (between the b/w roughs and the cleanup), and two close up showing off the tiny drawing @karpour added at the end. I finally got to first try @MaxUlichney’s watercolor brushes for this. https://t.co/2cNjh6u7QD
I always love how the drawings I still have from when I was around 11 years old really give away my age
Assorted very impatient/middle of the night scribbles from the past few days (with once again @AGuyWhoDraws’ dodo as one of the victims)
@toonholechris Ahh no sorry for the confusion, I was 17 when I did those. I can see if I can dig up some of that earliest volunteer work later. It’s nowhere near as good, I made most of my progress around age 16-17. Good drawings at 13 were mostly accidental, haha. Here’s two from age ~15-16?
@toonholechris Here's some artwork from that first round of work. I did a whole bunch more for them in later years. They're inked with a marker since I didn't have enough control over the brush(pen) yet. I also remember using BOOKS for ref and only having 2 or 3 printed b/w ref pics per species
