With all that great Astérix art I got to look at plus re-reading a bunch of the albums yesterday at least some sketch was itching to happen… (oddly messing around with Idéfix’s body, the part that I’d think would be the easiest)

@AshNicholsArt Same counts for the belt! It also helps to have a look at the negative space (the part I colored yellow), I treat it like its own shape that should look ‘pleasant’. (Lastly, I’d also make the netting follow form and not make it too detailed, but that’s more personal taste) (5/5)

The movie Saludos Amigos came out 79 years ago today (if I counted correctly)! And this drawing two years ago, but hey. Feliz aniversário!

Here are my first marker brush tests at full (twitter compressed) size. These are literally the first few things I doodled right out of the gate when I got them- I just used them as I would any real marker on paper or other digital brush. @Procreate (&CSP) brushes by @mrsdrpepper

This time I did the line art and colors on a layer on top of the sketch. Setting that layer to multiply or doing it on the same layer would have given a more authentic look, though this way there’s the option to remove the sketch. Info here: https://t.co/YpS1Mmxgh9
