#SciFiDaily I love this Brazilian cover by French studio TwoDots. Take away the Star Wars connection and you've still got an evocative cover that would make me check out the book. This art screams star-spanning adventure with a hint of romance. Space opera at its finest.

#SwordAndPlanet returns to ERB with this James E. McConnell cover for the second Amtor (aka Venus) book. It's been far too long since I read this one, but I recall thoroughly enjoying the Venus series. Barsoom better captured my heart, but Amtor holds fond memories.

#SwordAndPlanet With advanced weapons, swords, a scantily-babe, and imminent danger, this Hildebrandt painting from their 1982 Atlantis calendar hits all the S&P tropes. Too bad there's no story for these images, because I'd read it in a heartbeat.

#SciFiDaily notes that skintight is a spacesuit safety measure. Suit tears will self-seal against the skin giving the wearer time to reach safety or apply a patch. Here, a brave trio from spacesuit QA put the latest design through its paces, and look good doing it. Safety first!

#SciFiDaily presents Michael Whelan's cover for Alan Dean Foster's first contact novel, "Nor Crystal Tears." It's a favorite, and should be high on the list of any fan of Foster's Humanx books. The cover promises a thoughtful story, and the book delivers. Recommended.

#SciFiDaily goes pulp with this 1950 Amazing cover. I couldn't discover the artist's name, but the cover composition—with muted colors, no specific scene, and story elements surrounding a central character—is decades ahead of its time. It's a truly beautiful cover.
