Once someone or something existed, it shall not be put in a state of oblivion, forgotten, as far as, we keep it in our mneme (memory). The practice of Mnemosyne (goddess mother of the 9 Muses), was pivotal in the ancient Greek culture and want to believe it still remains vivid🙏
The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaper, first published on 4 December 1869 by William Luson Thomas until 23 April 1932.
The influence of The Graphic within the art world was immense, its many admirers included Vincent van Gogh.

The birds only lived on sky dew and never landed even when breeding. In 1758 Linnaeus perpetuated the myth by naming the Greater bird-of-paradise as “legless bird-of-paradise”

@DrFrancisYoung Well, that's one theory on 'porphyry'. Another one claims the word derives from the Greek πορφύρα porphyra extracted from murex shells in ancient Greece, so I will go for royal purple #Vergina Aigai, the first capital of Macedon, Greece. Persephone's garment is dyed in porphyra.
