The black, white, gold and red is meant to represent the alchemical magnum opus, with red and purple being symbolic of alchemical perfection.
The reason gold isn't on Zeo's first outfit is because the yellow step is sometimes seen as simply an extension of the white.

One of the many inspirations for Zeo and the wroners are various ancient Mesopotamian statues and figures.
In fact, many different kinds of statuettes and figures around the world originally inspired them.
I need to change how Jemadiah's beard looks. Really I need to settle on a full design for him that's easy enough for me to draw multiple times but also keep a general 'discs and rods' them to him.
